what up!

photo via Pinterest 1 & Pinterest 2
Today I've just realized that the next episode of How I met your mother I'll be watching in Germany. Oh so soon.
So I've got a little sad, but, when I'm starting to feel that way, I stop being sad and get awesome instead. True story.
Here's my 10 favorite Barney Stinson quotes:
  • If you are not sure, ask yourself, "What would Ted do?" Then do the opposite.

  • A lie is just a story ruined by the truth.

  • God, it's me, Barney. What up? I know I don't talk to you enough, although many women cry out your name during sex. Awesome!

  • The world is coming to an end. As predicted by Nostradamus. Notre Dame. Fighting Irish. Irish. Saint Patrick's Day. It's your last day on Earth, Bro. Brocopalypse now. Bromaggedon.

  •  He's the awesomest, most best-lookingest, greatest guy ever! Lily: He's exactly like Barney. Barney: That's what I just said.
  • Jesus waited three days to come back to life. It was perfect! If he had only waited one day, a lot of people wouldn't have even heard he died. They'd be all, "Hey Jesus, what up?" and Jesus would probably be like, "What up? I died yesterday!" and they'd be all, "Uh, you look pretty alive to me, dude..." and then Jesus would have to explain how he was resurrected, and how it was a miracle, and the dude'd be like "Uhh okay, whatever you say, bro..." And he's not gonna come back on a Saturday. Everybody's busy, doing chores, workin' the loom, trimmin' the beard, NO. He waited the perfect number of days, three. Plus it's Sunday, so everyone's in church already, and they're all in there like "Oh no, Jesus is dead", and then BAM! He bursts in the back door, runnin' up the aisle, everyone's totally psyched, and FYI, that's when he invented the high five. That's why we wait three days to call a woman, because that's how long Jesus wants us to wait.... True story.
  • Did you sleep with her sister?...Sleep with her mom?...I'm losing interest in your story.
  • Hey, Ted, you know what always picks me up when I'm down? Other people's misfortune.
  • You dumped a porn star? Friendship over. FRIENDSHIP OVER.
  • You can do this, but to be more accurate, you probably can't. You're way out of practice and she's way too hot for you. So, remember, it's not about scoring. It's about believing you can do it, even though you probably can't. Go get 'em, tiger!

[...] my breath smells of a thousand fads.

There are only two days of September left, my lovelies, are you enjoying your last sunny autumn days? I'm very glad that in Nuremberg will be 20 °C (!!) when I arrive, so I'll have more warm days to enjoy.
And one warm autumn day like this, my best friends (I love them!!) gave me a birthday present way way too early (I've got about two months to go), because I'm leaving to Germany and they said to me that my present would be too heavy to send.. and here it is - THE NEW ROBBIE WILLIAMS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was soooooooooooooooo happy!!!! And I am still now!!!!
This picture was taken after I've got my present - strange, how the lights were caught. I'm telling you, it's my happiness dancing around :)))
The book takes us to a trip down memory lane as Robbie opens up his personal photo collection from the past 20 years. The book is chaptered into major milestones in his career and each photo is accompanied by behind-the-scenes insight from Robbie, and of course a generous sprinkling of hilarious anecdotes too. (over 250 photos!!) Here are some of these:

My problems from "what's it gonna be like to live in Nuremberg for 5 months?.." changed to "OMG, how to make my suitcase hold this book??". How easy, ha.
And then I understood: in my life I want to find as much things, which make me feel like that - so smitten, so heart-lifted, as I can. And the more different things I find, the more happy I'll be. And as for everyone:
Find something you’re interested in and keep tremendously interested in it. ~ Julia Child

P. S. the fifth photo must have a note: these pictures were taken when Robbie discovered Photo Booth on his computer. haha.

planking.

Have you ever heard about planking? A friend recently told me that one friend of hers does the planking and it sounded very funny to me!
The point is to lay down in most unexpected places and to take the picture. The players compete to find the most unusual and original location. Mcplank, haha!

street art utopia.

Amazing street art! The last one looks exactly the same as the original!!
How funny is this one or this one? Ha ha.
And this idea is stunning.
It's incredible, how the street art can change the city and give some thoughts for you to think or just make you smile!
All of these you can find here.

a tough nut to crack.

photo via A Cup Of Jo
Recently me and my friend, who is also going to Germany for 5 months, had, like we called it, prom night and invited all our friends to join our last night in Vilnius.
And one friend of mine as a leaving present gave me a coconut explaining that I'm a tough nut :)!
And the first thought that came into my mind was this blog post (!!) that I've read last winter:
When our friends Jake and Elizabeth started dating, she seemed very guarded, and he worried that she might never fall for him. Looking for encouragement, he asked three of her friends about her, and here were their crazy answers...
Her first friend's answer: "Dude, she's a tough nut to crack."
Her second friend's answer: "She's an uncrackable egg."
Her third friend's answer: "She's an impenetrable fortress."
How hilarious is that? And he had asked them all separately!
Well, against all odds, Jake did woo her, and when they got married last year, my sister gave them a present of these three original commissioned prints by Erin Jang. (See how the nut is cracked, the egg is cracked, and the fortress is open?) How cute is that?

move, learn, eat.

I couldn't not share it with you!!
Rick Mereki spent 44 days taking 18 flights to 11 countries and traveled 38 miles, while seeing stunning views, eating different kind of food and learning different kind of things. And finally he made three short films about... a trip of a lifetime :). Amazing idea!

midnight in Paris.

Have you seen the newest Woody Allen movie? I'm a real fan of him, so I've definitely watched it!
Some of my friends told me that they didn't like the movie and I was hoping for the worst while watching it.
Although it wasn't the best W. Allen movie that I've ever seen, but it wasn't the worst either.
The idea is brilliant - it's very very Woody Allen and I love it!
And really, amazing things can happen when some coincidences fall together :). And the ending was just lovely - it's how it goes, we have to be happy in the present, now and when we choose to be, fate gives us a key..
I really recommend you to watch it, some scenes will definitely make you smile :)!

hundred years of autumn.

Good afternoon, my darlings,
are you enjoying the autumn yet? It's the most wonderful time now, when the air is so crispy and sunny, the wind colors your cheeks red and makes you wanna drink hot wine with lemon in the outdoor cafe! It's magic.
My autumn here, in my hometown, just before I leave to Nuremberg, is just lovely. Here is the photo from my window - you see the yellow tree? Every year since 2005 I noticed that it's always the first to get colored - so it's always the first sign of autumn for me.
It is also the first thing I see in the morning and I love drinking coffee while admiring it and thinking about time passing by.
Because every autumn I look at this tree from my window and every autumn it looks so adorable!
So I couldn't help but wonder: do you have your sign for autumn? When do you realize it really came to your door? And most important of all - how many things do we have around us that tell us something?
Now I'm reading the book of
G. G. Marquez, Hundred years of solitude (that I always wanted to read - finally!) and I accidentally found a quote, which absolutely fitted this question: All things around us can talk if you know how to talk to them.
It's amazing how sometimes a book you're reading can give you the answers!
And so it is. But only if we look more closely, through the shadows of the past, you can find out, what they are telling you.
Have a nice autumn day, my lovelies!

congrats to our national basketball team!!!!

Euro-basket 2011 came to an end last night - congratulations to the winners, viva España!!!! I'm a fan of this great team, so I am very happy for them!
Lithuanian national team won the 5th place!! And although it was kind of sad to watch the game with Macedonia, when we were winning all the match, but on the last second the luck turned off from us and we didn't get the chance to fight for the medals, I'm still very happy for our team! And I must say a big thank you for the guys, who played as hard as they could! You were great :)!
Although this kind of victories usually has some bitterness in it, that's how it always is. Sometimes you win the battle, but you loose the war.
Someone once said on the television that every real fan will be happy for every real victory of their team. And that is true. Congrats, my lovelies!
P. S. I adore this picture - it's traditional Mantas Kalnietis (my absolutely favorite player) and Rimantas Kaukėnas victory dance :)!

Lexy & K-Paul is two DJ's from Berlin, which I absolutely love! One of their songs you should really know: Love me babe, Vicious love, or Trick on me - but if you don't, well, just listen to it :).
I would l o v e to go to their live performance while staying in Germany!! Take a look at that (!!):

100 years of East London style in 100 seconds.

Have you seen the video of 100 years of East London style? It's really lovely (I adore the look on 0:25)!
Also, did you notice how the guy disappears for a second in a train station, in the 1940's when he goes off to war :)?

seven seas.

good morning ;),
what a sunny & crispy autumn morning by the window! I wonder what have you dreamed last night, my lovelies?
A few days ago, I had a very bright dream that I recalled so well in the morning. In the dream somehow I knew I was in Ryga (I love this city, so it was very nice to visit it once again :))!) and I was climbing very long staircase in a tower to see the panorama of the city. And then I recall standing on the tower, the wind was blowing through my hair and millions of city lights were confronting me. The view was so enormous and so beautiful, I felt like I was alone in front of the army of city lights and at that moment it felt like I'm here alone to fight them. But somehow I was really calm, it wasn't like I was courageous or aggressive, I was absolutely peaceful and then again I knew it, I will have to defeat something that is waiting for me outside, right before my eyes. And then I woke up. But the view of the city was so bright and the feeling standing there was so real that in the morning I felt really really strange.
I couldn't help but wonder - do you believe in your dreams? Do you read some kind of dreams' interpretations? Do they come true or do they warn you about something?
Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, said that dreams are a form of fulfilling suppressed wishes. If a wish (likely to be sexual in origin) goes unsatisfied during the dreamer’s normal day, the mind reacts to this ‘internal stimuli’ by transforming it into a visual fantasy – allowing the dreamer to satisfy his or her desire. The result of which is a peaceful night’s sleep.
So in this case dreams don't reflect the future or the past of our lives - it is the present, our present thoughts and desires. So the meanings of the dreams are absolutely individual and only you can find the answer yourself.
It is probably also not a coincidence that the word dream in English can refer not only to the state of sleeping, but also to the desire :).
Sweet dreams, my chéris!

ich bin so sauer auf dich.

I started learning german, because as I said, I'm going to Nuremberg in October!
And this is a funny illustration to a german saying: "ich bin so sauer auf dich!" (meaning "I feel so sour of you!")!
Have a lovely day, my darlings!

autumn time.

It's September already, so I wonder what would you like to wear this autumn, my darlings? What's your autumn must-have this year? I always wanted to get a cape jacket, it looks very elegant & lovely, don't you think? And it doesn't get out of fashion this year too!
So, my lovelies, it's time to rearrange your wardrobes for autumn! :)
P. S. These gloves looks also very nice together with this jacket!

have a chatty weekend.

What are you up to this weekend, my lovelies? My friends have just came back from England, so we have tons of things to catch up! It's one of the major things I adore about the end of the summer - you meet all your friends that you didn't see during the summer and you have so much to tell to each other! About your funny adventures, your summer loves, your unexpected trips, your summer wishes.. Grab a cup of tea with your beloved friends, my chéris, & have a chatty weekend!

xoxo,

P. S. Talking about England - this made me laugh!
