nightblooming

My darlings,
I'm finally back from the week of sun-bathing, reading, swimming & eating cherries by the lake - I hope you had a relaxing week too!
The first thing that I want to show you is a flower. :))
My aunt and my uncle showed us some pictures of their trip to Crete and I was amazed by a stunning flower that they've said only saw blooming at night. I've googled it and found this a night-blooming cereus (reffered to queen of the night). It blooms only once a year at night and each bloom for only one night! How amazing is that?
This photo with night-blooming cereus was taken by an American photographer Sally Mann in 1988 - what a magnetic shot!
